THE BOARDING FACILITY
In Febrauary 2013, we opened our dormitory to the first batch of girls who reported to form 1. This is an idea that was born in 2010, that the school becomes a full girls boarding school.
There being only one girls school in Kamukunji District, the District Strategic plan and aslo the school Strategic plan emphasised on the need to turn Maina Wanjigi to a full girls boarding secondary school.
The Board if Governors and the P.T.A raised funds and the first dormitory that can easily host 300 girls was put up.
The school faces alot of challenges with the students going home, everyday but with the boarders the story is different now.
